This Spanish restaurant meets tapas bar is a great option for this year’s birthday dinner! Serving small plates, authentic-style paella, and an abundance of sangria, you most definitely will not leave Boqueria hungry (or sober, for that matter).
Choose from a classic package of unlimited sangria and mimosas for $29 or spring for an expanded version that adds on bloody marys, cava, and Barcelona’s Estrella Damm lager for $45. Both are available for 90 minutes from 11 a.m.

Seedlip Garden, an alcohol-free spirit made from rosemary, thyme, spearmint, and other herbs, is the base for this drink. It’s topped with butterfly pea tea for color, plus lime, ginger beer, honey, and garnished with rosemary ($12).
The Deal: $29 for 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas or sangria, or $45 for unlimited Estrella beer, Bloody Marys, or cava. Boqueria’s bottomless brunch deal runs at all four of their locations, and the menu includes some special brunch dishes in addition to their extensive tapas menu.
This restaurant was at the start of the tapas and small dish craze when it opened in 2006, and the sleek original Flatiron location with its cheese-and-charcuterie counter evokes modern Barcelona with a lengthy selection of tapas and larger raciones.
“When choosing wine for sangria, it’s best to go with something neutral, fresh, and fruity that compliments the fresh flavors of your sangria,” said Lynne White, beverage director at New York City Spanish restaurant and tapas bar Boqueria.
